Episode 7

Episode 7: “Secrets and Stakes”

The episode opens with a dynamic morning montage showing the women preparing for their day:

  • Jenny wakes up next to Officer Rodriguez. As they talk about the spa, Rodriguez offers to “lean on someone” to help, but Jenny assures him they have things under control.
  • Victoria, overwhelmed by her tangled web of secrets, tries to focus, but it’s clear Stacey is growing suspicious about her mother’s connection to Chase.
  • Tiffany is at the spa, already deep in her routine, unaware of the storm brewing.

Cut to the Spa:

A middle-aged man named Jack arrives and requests a massage. While on the table, he peppers Victoria with probing questions about the cash-based business and the staff. Sensing danger, she cleverly avoids finishing the massage by hitting the panic button, setting off the fire alarm and sending Jack on his way.

When he leaves, the women regroup, speculating whether Jack is with the IRS, the police, or another threat. Suspicion looms over his intentions.

Charity Auction:

The three attend a charity auction hosted by a potential real estate investor—Chase’s father. The event pulls all key players into one room, including Johnny “Lawrence” Lui (JLL) and his lieutenant Hua. The women can’t resist mocking Hua with their signature “Hua!” yell.

Tensions spike when Stacey confronts Victoria, showing her a video of her and Chase at a restaurant. Demanding answers, Stacey accuses her mother of lying. Victoria suggests they take the conversation outside, leading to a major confrontation where Stacey storms off, furious and heartbroken.

Family Fallout:

Back at home, Victoria’s teenage son Dylan arrives, bruised and beaten. He reveals that kids at school called Victoria a hooker and blamed her for a classmate’s parents divorcing. Stacey, still fuming, demands answers, pushing Victoria further into a corner. Victoria deflects, insisting they’ll deal with everything later as she rushes back to the spa.

Chaos at the Spa:

At the spa, the women are interrupted by “Yoga Mom,” a belligerent client from the gym, who storms in waving a flare gun. She accuses the women of having an affair with her husband, Robert Friedman. Jenny nervously asks who her husband is, dreading the possibility it’s Rodriguez, but Yoga Mom shows a picture of Robert, a regular spa client.

The women convince her that no one is having an affair with Robert, flattering her yoga-toned body and calming her down. As Yoga Mom leaves, Jenny sarcastically mutters, “What the F was that? What else can happen today?”

The Challenge:

Right on cue, JLL enters the spa. Admiring their tenacity, he proposes a deal. “You women are tough, but here’s what I’m proposing: We drag race for the spa. If I win, the spa is mine. If you win, I’ll return your cash and leave you alone for good.”

The women exchange a look, weighing the risks, but Tiffany’s smirk says it all: the war is far from over.

Credits:

The episode closes with a montage of preparations for the drag race, set to “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears.
